The sky was a midnight-blue, like warm, deep, blue water, and the moon seemed to lie on it like a water-lily, floating forward with an invisible current.
The beauty and mystery of the moon have inspired many people to write songs about it, or about love under the moon, or a longing for a love under the moon, or even "I have nobody except the moon" and "talking to the moon, trying to reach you". Songs like "Blue Moon", "It's Only a Paper Moon", "Dancin' in the Moonlight", "Carolina Moon", "Moon River and Me", "Moonlight and Roses". These songs make me think of romance, and of Valentine's Day on Saturday.
* I'm feeling so cheesy and romantic hehe -blushes- *

I'm standing on the moon, with nothing left to do, with a lonely view of heaven, but I'd rather be with you.
For fun, I looked up some quotes about the moon and of course there are scores of them. Here are a few favourites;
"Beauty is a form of genius - is higher, indeed, than genius, as it needs no explanation. It is if the great facts in the world like sunlight, or springtime, or even the reflection in dark water of that silver shell we call the moon." - Oscar Wilde
"The moon, like a flower
In heaven's high bower,
With silent delight
Sits and smiles on the night." - William Blake

I didn't personally take the photo. But the first time I noticed this gorgeous moon when I was on my way to the church with my friend :) then I saw it the second time when I was walking on the road to Subway and Starbucks for supper.
And finally, a blessing for you. May you have a warm words on a cold evening, a full moon on a dark night and a smooth road all the way to your door.
