Hello! I've tried this and I think it was quite a success! Here are the steps on how to prepare and make your own mango jelly! For someone, you think you want her/him to try (;
P/S: This is first recipe in this blog. Mistakes might be anywhere, so if you think I'm wrong, correct me please. Thank you :)
MANGO JELLY LAYER
Ripe Mango 1 Large
Agar-agar powder 1 tsp
Water 125 ml
SOY MILK PANNA COTTA
Agar-agar powder 2 tsp
Sweetened soy milk 400 ml
Sugar or Honey To taste
METHOD
- Prepare mango layer. Peel and slice mango then blend (process) flesh to get ½ cup.
- Combine the agar-agar powder and water in a sauce pan over low heat, stirring to dissolve agar-agar. When agar-agar is dissolved, add the mango and bring to the boil stirring constantly.
- Pour mango jelly into individual serving moulds and leave to cool. Mango jelly should fill only one-third of each mould. Refrigerate until lightly set.
- Prepare panna cotta. Combine agar-agar powder and soy milk in a sauce pan over low heat, stirring to mix well. When agar-agar is completely dissolved, stir in sugar and honey to taste. Bring mixture to the boil and remove from heat.
- Pour mixture into moulds over lightly set mango jelly. Leave to cool before refrigerating until set. Serve cold
